Dawn Hilton-Williams
Co-Founder and CEO
Dubbed the Vegucator, Dawn Hilton-Williams is a clinically-endorsed wellness equity activist. Founder of Herban Eats, LLC and Co-Founding Executive Director of Power is Giving, Inc., Dawn’s committed to dismantling systemic health & access inequities for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) through evidence-based education and adherence to a 100% whole food, plant-based (WFPB) lifestyle. With a BA in Political Science from Virginia State University, a WFPB nutrition certification from eCornell, and over three decades of culinary experience, Dawn shares culturally resonant, lifestyle solutions that aid in the the prevention & arrest of our top chronic diseases. Awarded $10k by Beyoncé's BeyGOOD Foundation, Dawn is also is a freelance columnist and author of popular cookbook "Flava My Plate."

Having formerly worked for City of Charlotte municipal government for more than a decade, Dawn's also an experienced, grant writer, program monitor, presenter and administrator.
Nadia Hilton Adams
Co-Founder/Board Member-at-Large & EDD Fit & Fuel Coach
A Charlotte, NC native, Nadia is the Co-Founder of Power is Giving and leads the EDD Fit & Fuel Tennis Program. A former NCAA Division 1 tennis player at North Carolina A&T State University, Nadia helped lead the lady Aggies to two back to back appearances in the MEAC conference championships, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and was a four-time regional all-conference and MVP title holder at Southside High School in Greenville, SC.

Currently working as a corporate communications manager and freelance tennis coach, Nadia's worked in Miami, FL as a Nike Tennis Camp Instructor, and remains dedicated to the vision and mission of Power is Giving. Nadia has also been featured in various media outlets, including USA Today, Tennis Channel and numerous news affiliates and is passionate about animal welfare and community equity.





URSULA DOUGLAS, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Board Member
Port City native, Ursula Douglas is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over two decades of nursing experience.
Ursula has worked in a variety of healthcare settings with patients in every stage of life and health.

Her career goal to improve the health and well-being of those who are disproportionately affected by disease and disability.

MILTON MILLS, MD
Board Member
Clinical Advisor
An Oakland, CA native, with over four decades in his field of expertise, Dr. Milton Mills, MD is a board certified physician practicing in the Washington DC metro area and is plant-based/vegan.

Widely known for appearances in a number of popular vegan documentaries, i.e., What The Health, A graduate of Stanford medical school and Georgetown, Dr. Mills has practiced a vegan lifestyle for more than three decades and is a distinguished, world renowned speaker/presenter and educator.

SANDRA MCMULLEN
Board Member
Sandra is a native New Yorker and longtime resident of Charlotte. She has served on the Charlotte Ballet
Board of Directors and currently serves on the Charlotte Ballet Advisory Board.
She is a thespian and co founder of the Ebony Group and Company, Charlotte’s first African American theatre company.
She has served as Regional Sales Manager for Black Pages USA, Vice President, McCants Communications Group, Managing Director, INROADS Charlotte, Inc. and Director of Field Operations, Charlotte Area Fund, Inc.
Sandra is plant-based and currently provides consulting services.



HELEN POWELL STODDART, MD
Board Member
Author of "Reverse It: How to Reverse Type 2 Diabetes and Other Chronic Diseases," Dr. Helen is founder of Pain 2 Wellness Healthcare where she empowers patients to arrest and reverse our top lifestyle-driven chronic diseases through the integration of conventional and lifestyle medicine. Dr. Helen is also plant-based/vegan.
