EAT DRINK DISRUPT (EDD) ROOTS PROGRAM
EDD Roots is a bi-monthly, 3-hour, community-based whole food, plant-based lifestyle education program designed for Black women. Delivered in trusted Black-owned beauty salon spaces, each session includes culturally aligned education led by a board-certified physician and whole food, plant-based nutrition professional, tasting samples and structured Q&A blocks.
Participants receive a 3–4 oz whole food, plant-based tasting experience and free optimal wellness resources to support household-level application and transition to a WFPB lifestyle.
In addition to its bi-monthly sessions, EDD Roots includes an annual whole food, plant-based community food drive that mobilizes community participation to collect and distribute plant-based groceries to local partners serving the food-insecure.
